Fruits, Poultry Egg Packaging This kind of packaging material is mainly made from protein extracted from corn. The main products include three kinds of packaging film, packaging sheet and liquid film.
The packaging film is a kind of packaging film that is similar to a synthetic polymer film after the zein is mixed with a plasticizer and a release agent and then subjected to a special process. It has good moisture-proof, oxygen-barrier, gas-barrier, fragrance-preserving and waterproof effects. It can be used to package rice, popcorn, coated eggs and tomatoes, and can also be compounded with paper to make edible paper cups, paper boxes and so on.
The packaging board is made by adding pulp fibers or other fibers to the zein raw material, and then being extruded or similar to the papermaking process to make a thin board with certain rigidity and stiffness, also called zein wrapper. It has good heat resistance and oil-repellent effect and can be used for packaging various fresh fruits and eggs. However, it can only be used as feed for livestock but not for human consumption.
The liquid packaging film (coating or coating) is made by modifying zein, has good film forming and heat resistance, and can produce better affinity with other materials. It can be used as the inner coating of food packaging materials, or it can be directly coated on the surface of foods such as fruits and poultry eggs to achieve the purpose of preservation and anti-infiltration.
